Your state of mind is more important than the
situation
We all have to face difficult situations at some point in life. Some are in financial crisis , some are stuck in relationship complications, while some are worried about their career or studies. But have you ever noticed that in the same situation some people break down while some people emerge stronger? There is only one reason for this – state of mind.
Mindset means our mental state, way of thinking, attitude and way of looking at situations. This decides how we will deal with a problem, and how much ability we have to move forward.
What is the state of mind?
Mood is directly related to our thinking. It reflects how we view life's events and experiences. One person may consider the same event as an opportunity, while another person may consider it a problem and panic.
For example, if
someone is fired from their job:
• One person may sit in despair and start cursing himself.
• Another person can use this time to improve his skills, learn something new and find better opportunities.
Circumstances are external conditions over which we often do not have direct control. Such as:
• Financial condition of the family,
• Behavior of society,
• Accidents or disasters,
• Job or business problems.
How does state of mind transcend circumstances?
When our mental state is strong, we are able to remain stable even in any difficult situation. Our decisions are clear and we are able to find solutions to problems. Whatever the circumstances, if thinking is positive, then a way out is definitely found.
The impact of a negative mindset
If our thinking becomes negative, even the best of situations can disappoint us. We are unable to recognize any opportunity, start considering ourselves weak, and underestimate ourselves in comparison to others. This destroys self-confidence.
A person with a negative mindset:
• gets entangled in small things,
• blames others,
• does not believe in himself,
• Always remains unhappy and dissatisfied.
How to develop a positive mindset?
Spend some time with yourself every day. Think about what you learned, what can be improved.
Be grateful for what you have. This habit keeps you satisfied and calm.
Being with people who are optimistic improves your mood.
Learning new things makes you self-reliant and confident. It keeps your thinking dynamic.
Meditation, Pranayama and yoga are very effective in maintaining mental balance.
Change in life on the strength of morale
When a person believes in his morale, he can change his situation. No matter how difficult it is. The power of mind is a miracle that turns even a stone into God.
Your attitude decides whether you see a “problem” or a “solution” in a situation. This thinking gives direction to your life.
Conclusion
Circumstances in life are not always favorable. But if your mental state is balanced, positive and strong, you can weather any storm.
